Name: Hazelwing
Age: 22 Seasons
Species: Sparra
Rank: Sparra Queen
Personality: Hazelwing is usually pretty calm and easy-going about things, and is very sensible, but if her temper is roused she can be a fearsome warrior. She cares very much for her Sparra warriors and lives by the rule 'never order a creature to do what you wouldn't do yourself'. She is a tremendous flyer, but isn't reckless about it.
She is a good listener, but once she gives an order she hates for it to be questioned, so unless you have a really major issue with something, just do as she says. She can also be rather tough on young trainees, but she just wants to be sure they are ready when (if) they must go to battle.
There is a horde of vermin outside, threatening the creatures under your protection and have already killed a couple that weren't expecting it. Write up a post about how your character would react to such a thing and what they would do to fight them off.
Role Play Example: Hazelwing had been preening herself on the belltower one fine morning. She watched as two of her sparra warriors left their nesting area in the rafters and flew over the walltop to do some flying.
Without warning, one of them was shot in the wing, and tumbled down to earth. The other hesitated a moment too long, and was shot down also. Hazelwing was about to fly over and help, when seven rats leapt out of the bushes, led by a ferret. The sight of her warriors being slain sickened her, but more of the foebeasts arrived, far too many for her to fight. Hazelwing quickly careened down to the abbey. Locating an open window she rushed in, interrupting breakfast to warn the abbey beasts.
"Lotsa ratses 'n odder evilbeastes outside, killee twoa my warriors!" She exclaimed. The message had to be repeated, slower, but the abbey dwellers were quickly up and on the wall tops, calling down to the strangers.
Hazelwing wanted to fly down and kill them, but she knew now was not the time. Soon though, very soon, her Sparra warriors would have their revenge.
Hazelwing looked around at her Sparra warriors as they prepared for battle. She wasn't taking her whole force, she didn't want her colony completely wiped out if the battle went ill. Once they were prepared, Hazelwing reminded them of their job.
"Wesa gonna fly around back of vermin, taka dem by surprise see? We den can killee dem." She instructed.
Nods of approval and understanding moved around the sparra warriors gathered around her.
Swiftly and silently they left and traveled east a ways before circling back to catch the enemy unaware. In the dead of night, the vermin had almost no idea what hit them as they attacked Redwall from the front. Hazelwing and her warriors dove in, clawing and pecking. Occasionally two or three would pick up a vermin and drop him on top of his comrades. It was chaos.
The vermin mostly tried to flee, but Hazelwing located the ferret. The one that had ordered the execution of her warriors.
The ferret slashed at her with his blade, but Hazelwing swooped low and bowled into his legs, throwing him to the ground. His blade went spinning out of his grip, so he was helpless as Hazelwing commenced to peck and claw at him mercilessly.
He didn't die slow. Both eyes were blinded and he was torn up badly before she finally cut across his neck. She looked around, but the rest of the vermin seemed to have fled, or were lying dead or dying. Her warriors were dispatching those that would not live. She glared at the carcass of the ferret, but then just took to the air, leading her warriors, minus one that was slain, home.
