Maple & Bracken
If it was not for the rains, the Dibbuns would be playing outside. As it was, all Dibbuns were confined for the Cavern Hole for games and general fun. The spring rain pattered gently against the window panes of Redwall Abbey, creating rivulets of water that ran down the glass, and through a series of channels and drains, collected in rain barrels at certain locations around the Abbey. Such precise engineering was lost however on the pair of small, fluffy figures sneaking quietly up the stone steps to the upper levels. Nobody stood in their way; everybody who was not needed elsewhere was helping in Cavern Hole with the rambunctious Dibbuns, who were getting a bit stir crazy the longer they were holed up indoors. Snickering gleefully at the success of their master plan, the two squirrelbabes, each identical to each other in every way, all the way down to their smocks and tiny sandals, scampered up the steps, bouncing off walls and over each other in aerobatic play. Oh what fun is was to be naughty! Their overseers would not notice they were gone for some time, and by then, the babes would have made good their escape from tyranny! Peels of laughter at their freedom dissolved into chortles as they tried to stuff small paws into their mouths to quiet their sounds. Their scruffy bottle brush tails sticking out behind them, the Abbey babes only stopped when they reached the bottom of the old, wooden Abbey stairs that lead to the attic. Although it was maintained with a good brushing at the bottom steps, most Abbey dwellers were smart enough to not go too far up the rotting, old stairs, so cobwebs could be seen, shimmering in the dim light high above them. Black eyes widened simultaneously in fear and wonder as they stared up into the blackening maw that would lead up to the attics. "M-maybe we shud go back, B'acken. 'Is not saffers fur us'ns to go ups dere." Maple squeaked warily, hiding behind her brother, small chubby paws gripping onto his tail for comfort. Although he wholeheartedly agreed, Bracken did not want to appear weak in his sister's eyes. This had been his idea; if he backed down now, then he would not hear of it for seasons to come. "No, we's gotta go Maple. We gots 'ta find der pirate treshure!" Bracken hushed her, and pulled his tail out of her grip, ascending the attic stairs slowly, unknowingly wise enough to stay on the outside edges of the steps and not in the center. Pausing and letting out a small huff of distress, Maple hurried up after her brother, bounding lightly up the steps and into the darkness...

Elimsa
Now where have they gotten off to? The young hare wondered to herself as she wandered up the stairs toward the attic. She'd already checked every room on her way here, so there were very few places the squirrel twins, Maple and Bracken, could be. Elimsa was concerned for them. There were not many dangers in the Abbey, but the attic was not somewhere that beasts should wander, whether dibbun or fully grown. She climbed the stairs, placing her paw against the wall for stability as the stairs beneath her groaned and squeaked. "Maple! Bracken!" She called in an odd voice that didn't fit her hare exterior. Having been born and raised in Redwall for a few generations, Elimsa's family had lost their usual hare-accents, more used to the average accents that surrounded them. Elimsa was also oddly eloquent, excelling in Abbey school at reading and writing. She was intelligent, but also caring, especially about the dibbuns. She peeked in the last room before the attic and then spotted the two squirrels. "There you two are!" She said, leaping the last couple of stairs onto the floor. "Do you know how long everyone's been looking for you?"
{ooc} hope you don't mind elimsa popping in and spoiling their fun xD

AlessiaBehind Elimsa - just far enough to avoid being seen but close enough to keep a trail for - scampered Alessia the mouse, only a dibbun herself. Of course, there was no mischief or sneakiness in this to the girl. She just saw it as 'not getting in the way' while following someone she admired. When she reached the steps, she stopped and began mumbling to herself as such considered.
"Oooh... The stairs are old and rotting... I bet they smell... I bet they'll break! Oooh, but Elimsa went up them. She's a big hair, surely it can hold a little mouse." Alessia wrung out her plain dress between her front paws. With a squeak, she added to herself, with barely anymore confidence than her meek rambling, "There's nothing bad if I'm just following an adult."
So the dibbun skittered up the stairs' edge, where she knew they'd be least likely to snap. For her troubles, she gained a new layer of spiderweb clothing. This stopped her in her tracks. Alessia squealed as quietly as she could, attempting to shake off the cobwebs; following Elimsa was momentarily forgotten.

{{ Actually, not to be mean or something, but I was hoping they could do some exploring before they were found. >.> I should probably of mentioned that though... }}
