-Complete- Name: Celadin Silverfur Age: 24 Seasons Species: Badger Rank: Badger Mother Personality: She has felt a 'call' to come to Mossflower, but hasn't quite found out why yet. She is along with Reyldran, and will eventually run into Jenvyre. After stopping Jenvyre from seeking revenge, she will return with her to the Abbey. She is strong and an able fighter, but uses it only in defense. She's a bit mysterious, but very loving and patient with young ones. She doesn't have as much patience for older beasts who don't have patience. She's very loyal and protective of anyone in her care. She is particularly found of the Dibbuns, and though she isn't too strict with them she likes to keep them safe. To the eldest of them she likes to offer guidance and advice. For her seasons, she is incredibly wise.
There is a horde of vermin outside, threatening the creatures under your protection and have already killed a couple that weren't expecting it. Write up a post about how your character would react to such a thing and what they would do to fight them off.
Role Play Example: Celadin narrowed her eyes at the vermin who were standing outside blatantly demanding that Redwall surrender after having killed two innocent creatures. How dare they... She thought. She growled a little, earning a questioning look from Reyldran, who'd seen her fight before. However, she was nolonger in Mossflower, she was at the Abbey, and her fighting skills would only be used if the abbott/abbess wanted them to be. That wouldn't stop her from taking precautions though. The abbott/abbess asked for time to discuss the matter and the vermin agreed. Celadin hurried inside and started warning the Dibbuns about the danger. She wanted them to take it seriously, and so she used her no-nonsense voice, like she did at bedtime. "Listen to me little ones, we at Redwall care for you very much, but there is trouble stirring outside. I want you to be extra careful from now on. If you see anything strange let me know immediately. And I shouldn't have to tell you this, but do not, under any circumstances, go onto the ramparts. Is that clear?" The badger was glad to see solemn nods of understanding from the youngest Redwallers. Then she headed to where the main abbey staff were discussing things. She was ready to lend her support, even her life for the abbey she had come to. Whatever had lead her here had led her home.
The abbott/abbess of course had to refuse such a request. The Abbey warrior was able to even sway the staunchest of peace-lovers over to his/her side. It was a matter of safety for their inhabitants and in Mossflower woods, but besides just that, they had to honor the memories of their predecessors - some of whom fought and even died to keep the abbey safe. Celadin joined the others when they went up to tell the vermin their answer. She had her bow at the ready. At it was a good thing she did. The vermin launched an attack. Those who could not or would not fight she help to cover so they could make it safely off the walls. She warned them to tell the rest of the abbey beasts to stay inside. She took an arrow to the arm, but that was hardly important. She rapidly moved fired, taking down vermin after vermin, but being mindful in case the abbey warrior gave orders. Reyldran was helping to ferry weapons to the defenders and Jenvyre could be seen using her sling further down the wall. Celadin was glad her friends were alright for now. But her mind was already flashing forward to the next few days and weeks. Would they begin to run low on food? Would they be able to stay alert for attacks? How many would die? With renewed vigor Celadin gave a loud battle cry. Not the one from the mountain, but the new cry that filled her heart with determination. "REDWAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!" Several voices rang out with hers, signaling to the vermin that they were ready to fight.
Note: Of the two positions I'm asking for, this is my top choice. It's not listed on the board, but I figure this is the right spot? Also, if you have any further questions or would like me to modify something, please let me know. Also, I didn't know quite what you wanted with the role play, so I gave you a bit of the preparation and the battle.
